    Ingredients

    • 2 c. oatmeal
    • 1/2 - 1 c. nuts, chopped
    • 1/4 c. flaxseed, ground
    • 1/4 c. nutritional yeast
    • 3 T. butter, unsalted
    • 1 c. pure maple syrup or 2/3 c. honey
    • 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
    • 1 1/2 t. vanilla
    • 1 T. Black Strap Molasses (optional)
    • 1/4 t. salt (optional)
    • 1/2 c. dried cranberries
    • 1/2 c. chopped dates
    • 1/2 c. chopped, dried apricots
    • 1/2- 1 c. chocolate chips

Directions

Place butter in saucepan and add syrup, brown sugar, vanilla and salt. Cook and stir until melted. Let cool.

Mix together oatmeal nuts, flaxseed and nutritional yeast. Pour mixture from saucepan and mix well. Add chocolate chips. (if mixture to hot, chips will melt)

Heat oven to 300. Place parchment paper in large baking pan. Spread out mixture evenly in pan. Use sandwich bag over hand and press mixture together and to spread evenly in pan.

Bake 25 minutes. Cool to room temperature before cutting into squares.
